I am planning to do another Masters on another subject after finishing MS in Software Engineering. There are lot of thing what we can learn. I’m not planing to do an MBA. I am planing to do, more basic Subjects Like Economic, Maths, Physics, Sociology, Dramatic,  Or even Law. for the first time in my life, I will be doing a course not earn form that. just know about it.

For the last, 23years I am in school of my 27 year life. after graduation, I have stop the school for 6months and So. it was like an hell to live. Now, I am doing class 2days(2X 3 hours) a week. those 6 hours are like the best time of the week.

Why More MS?

1.Exams: I enjoy the day of exam. Most of the time, I don’t do full time work on the day of exam. when I am in pressure, good idea’s comes out. I work on that idea and some part other interesting thing. Love to do that. Most of my creative idea’s came out on the day of exam.

2. White board: In class, Teacher have very good audience, student have that also. Students can share / presents the problems they are facing.  In other organization of the society, (i.e. Family, friends, offices)  does not that kind of environment.

3. Friends: I have found, best friends of mine, I meet most of them in my classrooms. Like twitter, none remembers me, even if check the “remember me” checkbox. I am kind of Out of sight, out of mind type of man. being in school means being in sight.

4. Books: I have that very bad habit about Reading books. I can start it with fun, I can finish it. But if I dont have any fun at all I can not even go though it.

5. Homeworks: Keeps me busy, love to work on that.

in my early days, I hated School. most of the time, I don’t like to study, never do my home work. I was careless about my study. Still now, I am careless about my study. But love to learn, lot of things are changed. My Mom(the person for whom, I pass my SSC and HSC) is very happy to hear that want to study more. She said, plan for PhD, if you want more. I think, I will love to do so, but I don’t want to leave Dhaka. I am building my company, and I am with my family and friends. I don’t want leave them. I don’t want a tasted of better life. I just want to be here.

So, I am doing another MS. Please comment about subject choice, I have and where I can do it.

Last nights networking course, we got a bonus question?

Question was: what is the probability to solve all the questions answer right in “4 to 4 matching sentence question*“.

My answer was : 1/4 * 1/4 * 1/4 * 1/4 = 1/156 = 0.006410256

My explanation: getting one right is 1/4, getting 2 right in a row will be 1/4 *1/4 and so on 4 them right will be 1/156

Kafi vai’s answer was: 1/24 = 0.041667

Kafi vai’s explanation: there are 24 combination to have the answers. getting all right it one of 24. its 1/24.

on the other hand, if you calculate probability of each part , it slove the problem also:

1/4 X 1/3 X 1/2 X 1/1 = 1/24 = 0.4166

[updated ]I was  Doing big mistake using Binomial Distribution, it will not be used here.

this will be used in sequence like, you have 3dice, how many time you will get 9, 23 on single roll of 3dice.

*[there where a table with 2collums and  4rows, you have to match left with right.]

My English is terrible. writing, reading is very poor. typing is the worst. I type with the spell checker. I looks very terrible. that why my blog sucks.

My Social life: it’s like browsing on facebook walls. check some friends life. watching the photos on newly marriage events. No, I not crazy about marriage. Most of the events, I found most my friends were there but not me. I don’t like to attend this events, but I attend no matter what else I have to do. Allah helps me in many ways. That why, most of the time I am not invited. my simple analysis is that, I am not that much important to anyone anyway, and never belonged in group. So, it’s petty much standard that, I should not in the guest list. More funny thing, nobody even tells me about his/her event. this makes me think, I am a curse. So, I watch the event photos, and wish the new couple a happy married life.

Marriage should be a very nice, easy and simple event. very few people and one event. [I always hoped, Might have something like that. Only almighty Allah knows, what it will turn out.]

My Walks: I love to walk in my city. long walk, short walk. most of the time think when I walk.

My Class : In IUB MS is 1year program, but usually it takes around 2years. Most of the time I work in the weekends along with my weekdays. So, I get very little breaks. My MS classes gives me a break from my deadline to deadline meeting job.  Now, I am thinking, it should not be finish in this 2years. I am planning to study others subjects in other discipline. but not in IUB, they have very bad toilets.

My life : Most of the time try learn something new and bit hard. most of the time can learn it and earn a bit from there. Life is very nice and simple. I am always happy about it.

My poker playing : Don’t ask. I am very bad poker player, most of the time I don’t fold.

My Mobile Phone : I love the hardware. Idea of mobility gives me freedom. (Nokia 5200: I still miss you)

I have taken small steps to do it in my rest of the life. Some of them are taken long time ago, most of them are added now. Please dont read these boring stuff. go somewhere else.

For Better value in life :

Always speak the truth.

For better health:

1. No to Drug / hard Drinks/ Smoke
2. No to all kind of soft drinks
3. Every day (latest) 2KMs of walk
4. Every day Pills for my  high cholesterol
5. Drink lot of water

For better work:

1. After 5work hours learn something new to do some work better
2. Finding out / Inventing the way keep things DRY (dont repeat yourself)
3. documenting of future / rework management / reusability management

For better Society :

1. if (dustbin.available){stuff.drop_it_in(dustbin)}  else { stuff.keep_it_in(your_pocket) } // if don’t drop it the roads will remain clean.
2. Try to save every amp. of electricity when ever I can

These small steps are easy, and I am doing that for better future.

What ?

I want to participate in a Walkathon. I have the dreams to walk the 125km.(once)

Why ?

Days passing by, I am getting older. I have high blood cholesterol. Lots of dreams are passing away.  If I’m not ready, joining a walkathon might not be possible in this life time.

when ?

With in 2years. It will take 2days. but I’ll give it a try.

(I know it is not impossible, not long time ago (50years and so), people have walk more than that to come to Dhaka.  Nearly 60-70years ago, People had to walk upto Bombay to attend the hajj. )

Inspiration:
Last 6-7 February, there was an event  in Cox’s Bazar “Bangla Marathon 2009″. It was a 42 KM Marathon and 21KM half Marathon. “Cox’s Bazar is an unbroken 125 km sandy sea beach with a gentle slope” (wiki),So  it not half of the beach.

I wanted to join the marathon, but I did not knew about event. But 42KM running is almost impossible for me. walking might be possible. So,  I am planning for a walkathon.

Status:

Everyday, I walk around 2-3km per day. once a week(or in 2 weeks) I walk , (8km) long(Azimpur to Kakoli bus Stand) distance walk. I love to walk alone(or a silent partner i.e. my brothers or my sisters). My highest walking count is (16-18)KM. In Dhaka City. That day, we went  to Tongi from Azimpur and came back. It is not hard.

Using Google Earth:

Distance Landmark of my walk:

• Home to  Newmarket : 1.36km (one way) (round trip: 2.72km)
• Home to  ScienceLab: 2.05km (one way) (round trip: 4.10km)
• Home to  Dhanmondi-6 : 2.41km (one way) (round trip: 4.80km)
• Home to  Shahbag  : 2.53km (one way) (round trip: I don’t come back same way) it becomes nearly 5.2km
• Home to Shohid Minar : 1.72km (one way)(round trip: most of the time,  I came back on rickshaw with Tabassum
• home to KawranBazar: 3.48 km
• home to Mohakhali : 7.50km
• Home to Kakoli bus Stand: 8.99km
• Home to IUB : 12.5km

Even walking 42km will be very difficult in the sea beach.  It needs preparation, knowing my ability and pushing it to increase my level.

Planning:

Right now, I know how much I can go. but there is no quantifiable value for the walk.

Basic question :

1. How much Time I need to walk 1km ?
2. How many breaks I need (per 5km)?
3. Health condition after the walk ?
4. how much is the limit of my walking in day ? (that will be calculated in different approach )

Step one:

I am going to increase the the weekly walk to a longer one. Now, 12km will be better walk. From IUB to Azimpur is around 12-12.5km, Today(15/03/2010) I have a class which is up to 8PM. So, I  can start at 8 then it should take 2.35 hours. Hopefully within 11.00pm I should be home.  Today, I’ll calculate the time. I did not calculate the last two timing.

Step two:

Same distance with less time.  // this will be updated soon

Step three:

Increasing the distance.  //this will be updated later

125km / 5km = 25 times. that’s 25 time of my home to Muhammedpur OLD than.

Once in a life time, it should be possible.
